Shy to Shine was created for those children. Through small groups, movement, mindfulness, partner activities, leadership opportunities, and personal growth tools inspired by Adventures in Wisdom , children gradually build confidence, connection, resilience, and self-belief.
This isn't about performance or perfection. It's about creating emotionally safe spaces where children feel seen, supported, and safe enough to shine.
from fear → to courage
from hesitation → to participation
from "I can't" → to "I DID IT."
We believe safety comes first.
Real confidence is built through small moments of courage repeated over time. Not through pressure. Not through being the loudest child in the room.
Week by week, children stop hiding. They start trying. Speaking up. Connecting. Leading. Believing in themselves.
Because when children feel seen, safe, and successful… they shine naturally.
Shyness is not a flaw.
It's a signal — it's often a child waiting for the right environment. That's what Shy to Shine was created to be: a place where children feel safe enough to shine.
Are shy, sensitive, or slow to warm up
Feel socially hesitant or anxious in groups
Are afraid of making mistakes
Are uncomfortable being the center of attention
Overthink or hold back socially
Feel overwhelmed in larger groups
Want connection but don't always know how to enter in
And something beautiful happens when they feel safe.
Not because they were pushed. Because they were seen.
Built to support both emotional wellbeing and confidence-building — never performance or perfection.
A calm opening where every child is welcomed and heard.
Practical tools for nerves, big feelings, and self-regulation.
The hammock becomes a tool for courage, not a test of skill.
Trust and cooperation built through shared effort.
Gentle practice at speaking up and being understood.
A restorative close that settles the nervous system.
Age-appropriate concepts inspired by Adventures in Wisdom.
Leading games, teaching peers, naming their own poses.
The goal is not perfection.
The goal is helping children feel safe enough to grow.
There is never pressure to perform or "keep up." Every child participates in their own time — because belonging comes before confidence.
Small Group Enrollment
Every child is known. Every child is encouraged. Every child belongs.
Shy to Shine is designed as a 32-week journey across the school year. Not a workshop. Not a six-week trial. Because the shifts we care about don't happen on a schedule.
Week by week, something begins to shift. The child who watched from the edge asks to demonstrate. The child who whispered starts leading the game. That transformation is one of the most beautiful parts of this work.

"I was scared…"
"and I did it anyway."
Confidence doesn't happen overnight — so we built a journey that grows with your child.
Because Confidence Begins with Feeling Safe
Helping little hearts build the foundation for confidence through movement, mindfulness, aerial exploration, stories, art, play, and connection.
A Journey to Self-Expression
Helping children discover their voice, believe in themselves, and confidently shine in school, friendships, and life.
By age five or six, children begin facing new challenges. School becomes bigger. Friendships become more complicated. They compare themselves to others. They begin finding — and sometimes losing — their voice. That's where Shy to Shine® begins.
We run two separate Shy to Shine programs on two separate pages. They share the same philosophy — emotional safety first — but they're built for very different stages of childhood.

A 32-Week Journey to Self-Expression
Still deciding? Age is the simplest guide — but not the only one. If your child is five and still very much a little one, Foundations may be the gentler landing place. If they're five and already navigating a big school day, Shy to Shine® may fit better.

Shy to Shine is a confidence-building aerial yoga and mindfulness program for children and tweens ages 5/6–12+. It was especially created for children who are:
But really… it's a space where children feel safe enough to be themselves. We help children build confidence, connection, resilience, emotional awareness, and self-belief — slowly, gently, and without pressure.

No. Some children are shy. Some are anxious. Some are highly sensitive. Some struggle socially. Some simply need a smaller, calmer environment to feel comfortable.
Shy to Shine is for children who benefit from emotional safety, encouragement, mindfulness, movement, and belonging.
Many parents tell us: "My child just needs the right room."
We don't just teach aerial yoga. We create emotionally safe spaces where children can slowly begin to believe in themselves. Many activities focus on performance — we focus on the child. We care deeply about:
Children are never rushed, embarrassed, or pressured.
Because belonging comes before confidence.
Every class is intentionally designed to support both emotional wellbeing and confidence-building. Classes include:
We also weave in age-appropriate personal growth concepts inspired by Adventures in Wisdom , helping children build confidence, positive self-talk, resilience, emotional awareness, growth mindset, and courage through challenges.
The goal is not perfection. The goal is helping children feel safe enough to grow.
That's completely okay. Many children come in feeling unsure at first. Some look back at their parent watching from the lobby in the first class. Some barely speak at the beginning. Some watch before participating.
We expect that. Children do not need to "perform confidence" here. They simply need space to arrive in their own time.
We often see children who overthink, hold back socially, fear making mistakes, struggle with confidence, feel overwhelmed in larger groups, or want connection but don't always know how to enter in.
And something beautiful happens when they feel safe. They begin trying. Speaking. Laughing. Participating — even asking to lead. Connecting.
Not because they were pushed. Because they were seen.
We are not therapy. But we are deeply intentional about emotional safety, mindfulness, confidence-building, connection, and nervous system support. Parents often tell us their children become:
Most children are beginners. The goal is not to "be good" at aerial yoga. The hammock simply becomes a tool for courage, confidence, play, resilience, trying again, and trusting themselves.
Children grow by experiencing: "I was scared… and I did it anyway."
Not at all. This is not a competitive environment — there is enough competition in this world. Children are encouraged to go at their own pace.
We celebrate effort, courage, kindness, growth, and connection — not perfection.
Because children open up differently when they feel seen. Our small groups allow us to truly know each child, support them individually, and create a calmer, more connected experience.
Yes. Shy to Shine is designed as a journey, not a quick fix. Real confidence takes time.
Week by week. Child by child. Smile by smile. Something begins to shift.
The goal is not to create "perfectly confident" children. The goal is to help children feel safe, seen, capable, connected, and comfortable being themselves.
Because children who feel safe enough to be themselves… shine naturally.
That's okay too. Many parents come to us saying: "I just have a feeling my child needs something like this." You don't need to have it all figured out. You're welcome to:
We're happy to help you decide whether it feels aligned for your child.
